Since 2019, I have chosen (or often it has chosen me) a word/phrase to guide my year. Usually these words come to me through prayer, and usually I have NO idea the meaning they will hold to my year when it begins. Apparently, I have also written about most of these words on this blog (and others) at the start and end of each year’s experience.
So as a recap, since I started this in 2019, my words have been:
2019 – Mindful
2020 – Grace
2021 – Perspective
2022 – Journey
2023 – Hope
2024 – Be Bold
This year, my word came seemly out of nowhere, and I’m still not quite sure what God is inviting me to with it.
My word for 2025 is harmony.

At first, I thought: “Harmony? Lord, you mean like with music? It has been a long time since I’ve dabbled in music.” But through prayer, it didn’t seem like that was the intended invitation. So, I looked up more definitions of harmony, and I kinda like the definition I settled on in the end:
“the quality of forming a pleasing and consistent whole”
Join me this morning over at IgnatianSpirituality.com to read about my word for 2025, the desire I have to form a more pleasing and consistent whole, and the daily reflection questions it might take to do just that.
And then let me know: Do you have a word for 2025? What do you think it’ll mean for the year ahead?
