But not the God that simply knows.
The God that gets right down in the trenches with us.

Lord,
More often than not,
I find myself a victim to fear.
It’s a pretty powerful thing, afterall.
Just a small dose of it
can make my hands feeble,
my knees weak,
and my faith falter.
When fear begins its latest attack,
help me feel your hand in mine instead.
Increase my faith so that I may believe
that You are always stronger than the fear
that threatens to overtake me.
Help me remember Your promise
to walk with me, no matter what,
through anything and everything ahead,
until that day when only joy remains.
Amen
